Yoga
As part of our summer sports in Gerard’s, seniors have the choice to do yoga on Tuesdays. It’s my favourite day of the week because after having a tiring day yoga is the perfect day to turn your mind off and relax for an hour. After it your body feels so chilled and you recover your energy. Our teacher is a lovely person and I wish we had done this for the whole year, but at least it’s a nice change.
Gerards mile
This year I took part for the first time in the annual Gerard’s mile. It was so much fun and a good activity to do. I’d say everyone enjoyed it and as a result of hard work I got a medal!
Tag rugby
At the beginning of the year TY did tag rugby during physical education. It was a sport I had never played before and I have to say I really enjoyed it. The weather was very helpful and made the sport more enjoyable. After training for a few weeks we all went to UCD to take part in a tag rugby competition against other schools like Loreto Dalkey and black rock. We were divided in teams mixed with people from other schools and it was so much fun. I would do it again without hesitation.
